Individual servers in the Shanghai data centre were being attacked. The DDoS attacks originated from a globally distributed botnet that was targeting and disabling individual game servers with varied attacks including fully spoofed SYN floods, and UDP floods, and attacks on servers with thousands of "GET" requests per second.
