IntelliGuard obtains marketing grant for promoting Australian exports
12 Aug 2008 - IntelliGuard today announced that it has obtained an export development grant of AUD$133,559 from the Australian Government via Austrade. The Export Market Development Grant will assist IntelliGuard with the global marketing of its successful DDoS defense products. Austrade, through its overseas networks and expert personnel in Melbourne and overseas, is also providing IntelliGuard with valuable assistance and expert advice for marketing its products around the world.
Mr Quentin Bai, Austrade’s ICT Industry Adviser said, “Australian ICT exports to Asian markets have increased over the last three years and Australian companies are recognized in Asia for their innovation, specialization in niche technologies and quality of service. ICT spending in the Asia-Pacific region is expected to grow annually by over 10 per cent per annum over the coming years, and Australian firms like IntelliGuard are well placed to secure a long-term future in the region”.
Commenting on IntelliGuard’s recent export sale to protect the Internet services of Shanda Networks, China’s premier on-line gaming company, Mr Bai, said “I am really pleased with the outcome. Shanda is a big one in China and I am sure this is just a beginning. We will continue working for you to achieve more outcomes, in China and other parts of the world. Taiwan and USA are potential quality markets for you. IntelliGuard is one of the few in the world to offer this type of innovative security application. Congratulations and well done!”
“It is very encouraging to have a government that values the importance of developing innovative products for Australian exports, and understands and supports the needs of new companies in tackling global markets” commented IntelliGuard founder and CEO, Ken Baker. “Austrade supported IntelliGuard’s ambition of taking on the largest global Internet Security companies with an innovative leading technology developed solely in Australia. IntelliGuard has already achieved sales in China and Korea, and is now expanding its sales operations throughout Asia-Pacific and USA”.
