Technology
The IntelliGuard DPS provide a fundamentally superior approach to mitigating DDoS attacks, with a design that focuses on passing legitimate traffic rather than discarding attack traffic, handles the worst possible attack scenarios without performance degradation, and protects every distinct part of a network to avoid the collateral damage normally incurred.
Learn-Rank-Protect
The IntelliGuard DPS unique Learn-Rank-Protect strategy profiles and ranks every client that interacts with a protected network, and discards traffic from the least legitimate sources during attacks when traffic rates need to be reduced. By learning enough about a network’s users to be able to identify and prioritise their traffic in the midst of floods of attack traffic, the DPS exploits the only advantage a DPS can have over attackers – namely, greater knowledge of a specific network’s legitimate users, derived from having observed the traffic in that network. |

Multi-Level Traffic Management
To protect each part of a network the DPS incorporates a Multi-Level Traffic Management system that configures traffic limits and guarantees for managing traffic to each part of the network. This enables a DPS deployed at the network edge to independently protect every component of a complex network, from large links all the way down to individual services running on a single machine. This feature further serves as an appealing traffic management tool for allocating capacity to where it’s needed, restricting traffic volumes to each part of a network to manageable sizes, ensuring that no service can be starved of resources, and shaping low-value customers’ traffic when networks are over-utilised. |

Advanced User Interface
The DPS user interface provides extensive visualisation and reporting for a detailed view of DDoS events and general network traffic conditions. This allows real-time DDoS protection monitoring and assists with network management and planning.
